DANNY PLATT’S experience in architecture began hands-on in the construction business. He started as a plumber in new construction and repairs before moving into sales for plumbing and HVAC. During his time in commercial and residential plumbing, Danny has experienced everything from the ground up.
In 2003, while still working in the construction business, Danny decided to further his career. He attended school at night, earning his associate degree in computer drafting and design from ITT Technical Institute in 2005. Graduating with Honors, Danny was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society, and immediately took a position at VW International in San Antonio.
At VW International, Danny was a project manager, designer, and senior CAD manager. Working with the DoD, he traveled to numerous states, the UK, Italy, Germany, Portugal, the Azores, Turkey, and Japan, overseeing updates for various military medical facilities. In 2019, he moved to The OutFit in New Braunfels, where he served as a CAD project manager. In this position, he traveled to DoD medical facilities throughout the US, performing CAD updates for Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) sustainment.
Danny has extensive knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and DrawBase software, designing residential homes, and working with MEDCOM and DHA. His database work for the Air Force, Army, and Navy medical facilities includes Real Property Installed Equipment surveys and developing new techniques to collect data for complete as-built drawings, including Life Safety. He has also served as a Drawing Management training facilitator for the Tri-Service Medical community.
