My Coolest Project:
My coolest project was a concept for design of a school of arts in Austin, TX. The school was designed with the intent of teaching the art of indigo dyeing, ceramics, and woodworking. Surrounded by fields and crops of indigo, students would be introduced to the process of harvesting the plants, which would then be used for their art medium. Having started the project in school pre-COVID and finishing it during virtual learning, it was a challenging and fun experience. Since the project was for an art school, and as an artist myself, I worked really hard on the design.

Intern Architect

AMBER GUERREO grew up in Edinburg, TX, and attended nearby South Texas College in McAllen. With an interest in drawing and painting, she began her college education studying fine art before an interest in math led her to switch to engineering. She graduated with an associate degree in engineering in 2017.

After graduating from South Texas College, Amber felt like she was missing art and decided to pursue a degree in architecture at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). While at UTSA, she volunteered with Rehabarama where she helped paint homes in the historic downtown neighborhoods of San Antonio. Amber received her bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2021.

She’s excited to start her architectural profession with the team at HFS.
